I always thought it would be funny if teams were selected using a dartboard. That seems so random and irresponsible to me. Then I read in Acts 1 about the Apostles choosing Judas' successor by casting lots. You'd think that you'd want to have some process for replacing Judas. After all, the last guy holding the position didn't exactly work out well. Sometimes, I wonder how much this selection process is really just about trusting God to make the pieces fit. Maybe our processes just get in the way.
